Q: What does “LowKei” mean?
A: It’s a double meaning. First, it refers to the atmosphere of my shoots—relaxed, “low key,” and stress-free. Second, it refers to my preferred lighting style (Low Key lighting), which uses shadows and contrast to create dramatic, high-quality images.
Q: I’m awkward in front of the camera. Can you help?
A: Absolutely. This is the #1 worry my clients have. I don’t force stiff poses. Instead, I set up a scene and guide you through natural movements. My goal is to capture the moments between the poses—when you’re laughing or interacting naturally.
Q: Do you shoot weddings or large events?
A: Currently I only do small events, elopements, engagements, and automotive.
Q: Can you shoot my car at a specific location?
A: Yes. I can meet you at a location of your choice, or I can suggest several spots in the Chattanooga/North Alabama area that work well for industrial or scenic backdrops.
Q: Do you do “rollers” (rolling shots)?
A: Yes! Rolling shots are a great way to show the vehicle in motion. [Note: We need to make sure you have a policy on safety/drivers for this.]
Q: Do you deliver the RAW (unedited) photos?
A: No. The raw files are only half of the work. The editing process is where the “LowKei” style comes to life. I promise to deliver a fully finished gallery that represents the best of our session.
Q: How long until I get my photos?
A: You will receive a “sneak peek” within 48 hours. The full high-resolution gallery is typically delivered within 2 weeks.
Q: How do I receive the photos?
A: You will receive a link to a private, password-protected online gallery where you can download high-resolution images and share them directly with family or on social media.
Q: How do I secure my date?
A: To reserve your spot on my calendar, I require a 25% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of the session.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: I try to keep it simple. I accept Cash, Venmo, PayPal, and Cash App.
Q: What happens if it rains or I need to reschedule?
A: Life happens, and weather in the South can be unpredictable. I offer one free reschedule for bad weather or emergencies. We will work together to find the next best available date.
Q: Do you travel outside of Chattanooga/Ider?
A: Yes, I love to travel! Locations within a 30-mile radius are included in the package price. For locations further out, I charge a simple travel fee of $0.68 per mile to cover gas and time.
Q: How much retouching do you do?
A: My “LowKei” style focuses on dramatic lighting, color grading, and mood. I edit for color, contrast, and exposure to make sure you look your best in the light. However, I do not typically perform heavy body manipulation or extensive “airbrushing” (like removing permanent scars or altering body shape). I believe in capturing the authentic you.
